FOSL1 and breast cancer: In contrast, Fos-related antigen 1 (Fra-1) has been shown to overexpress only in normal but absent in cancer cases (except breast cancer) indicating its possible tumor suppressor activity in these tumors20, 22, 23 while the Fos-related antigen 2 (Fra-2) has been found to be often highly upregulated in many cancers which show aggressive tumor phenotype and metastasis19, 24, 25.
