There was a positive association between the NRAMP1 gene 3′UTR polymorphism and susceptibility to tuberculosis in West Africans [36], Koreans [37], Chinese Han [23], and Chinese Kazak populations [38], but there was no association found in Taiwanese [39], Thai [40], Moroccan [41], Danish [42], Brazilian [43], and Indonesian [44] populations, and it was associated with resistance to TB in Cambodians [31].
