Next, we investigated the methylation status of CH25H F6 region in bone marrow CD34-positive cells derived from 3 MDS patients (UPN1, 2, 9) and one AML patient (UPN10), and found one case (UPN9) whose CH25H F6 region was hypermethylated out of 4 patients studied (Supplementary Figure S2). Here, CD34 is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
