The aims of this study were to identify the mRNA expression status of DRD2, DRD3, and dopamine and cyclic adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate regulated phosphoprotein-32 (DARPP-32) in T lymphocytes of patients with early psychosis, and to explore the relationships between the mRNA levels of the three targeted genes and the psychopathological status of patients evaluated by the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) [22]. This evidence concerns the gene PPP1R1B and psychotic disorder.
