Consistent with the increased levels and glutamine carbon labelling of hexosamine biosynthesis pathway intermediates detected in adenovirus-infected cells (Fig. 2e,f), we found that adenovirus infection leads to a MYC-dependent increase in transcript levels of enzymes in the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway, GFAT1 and NAGK (Supplementary Fig. 3). This evidence concerns the gene MYC and adenoviridae infectious disease.
