To further investigate whether NF-κB plays a critical role in BV-induced up-regulation of DR4 and DR5 as well as colon cancer cell growth inhibition, we pretreated the colon cancer cells with phenylarsine oxide (PAO), an NF-κB inhibitor (0.1 μM) for 1 h, and then these cells were treated with BV (1 μg/ml) for 24 h to assess cell growth, and DR4 and DR5 expression.
