Quantification of cells expressing cleaved caspase 3 in control, siNPM1, siH1.5 and siNPM1+siH1.5 treated glioma cell lines showed a significant increase in the number of U1242MG (P < 0.05) and U251MG cells (P < 0.05) that stained positive for cleaved caspase 3 in cells treated with siH1.5 in comparison to siCtrl, although there was not significant difference in U343MGa Cl2:6 (Fig. 6E).
