SH2B3 and cancer: Genetic variation at the SH2B3 gene locus has been associated with various autoimmune related disorders including hepatitis37, rheumatoid arthritis38, hypothyroidism39, type 1 diabetes40, vitiligo41, rheumatoid arthritis and coeliac syndrome42, suggesting that SH2B3 dysfunction may be involved in mediating disordered immune function and thereby play a role in cancer susceptibility.
