GC patients without methylated UCHL1 tended to have a better survival (median survival of 24 months) than those with methylated UCHL1 (median survival of 15 months) (p = 0.03, Figure 3(a)), while the overall median survival of GC patients with or without methylated THBS1 in the serum was 14 or 20 months, respectively (p = 0.048, Figure 3(b)). The gene discussed is THBS1; the disease is gastric cancer.
