As shown in Fig. 3C, of the four gene candidates, high HOXB9 expression was found to be the most significantly correlated with reduced patient survival in lung adenocarcinoma, according to at least one publically available clinicogenomics database (GSE36471, http://www.bioprofiling.de/GEO/DRUGSURV/index.html) [35]. Here, HOXB9 is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
