NFKB1 and lung cancer: It is intriguing that the IκB-IKKβ pathway frequently misregulated in cancer is also a target of the Cullin3, and those genetic disruptions of the Cullin3 complex found in lung cancer patients, at both copy number and gene expression levels, lead to upregulation of IKKβ protein levels and activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway.
