Recognising this issue, some clinical trial protocols will document lists of medications that in their context are considered to carry these risks, for example, “any concomitant medications that may cause QTc prolongation or induce Torsades de Pointes (see the Appendix for the list of medications in Tables 1 and 2) or induce CYP3A4 function” and “concomitant use of CYP3A4 inhiibitors or inducers. Here, CYP3A4 is linked to torsades de pointes.
