In addition, the same alternations were observed in OA-treated siRNA PASK HepG2 cells (Figure 5), indicating that PASK participated in lipid metabolism, and therefore PASK might be a potential therapeutic target for ameliorating hepatic lipid accumulation, and even could be an effective treatment for NAFLD and other MS accompanied with lipid accumulation or obesity. The gene discussed is PASK; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
