To assess whether these differential genetic signatures between IDH-1/2 mutant and wild-type tumors translate into distinct phenotypes, which can be detected non-invasively, rCBV imaging – a robust and clinically meaningful estimate of tumor angiogenesis26, 27, 28 – was analyzed from a local dataset in 73 treatment-naive patients with low-grade diffuse and anaplastic gliomas. This evidence concerns the gene IDH1 and grade III glioma.
