In line, Kawasaki et al. (55) identified highly fucosylated polylactosamine-type N-glycans in a CRC cell line SW1116 that are expressed specifically on CD26/dipeptidyl peptidase IV and serve as ligands for mannan-binding protein, a C-type lectin involved in host defense and tumor growth inhibition in CRC cells. This evidence concerns the gene DPP4 and colorectal carcinoma.
