A set of T2D-associated CNV regions with the total length of about 36 Mb, including several novel T2D susceptibility loci which contain 16 protein-coding genes (Il18r1, Cyp4a3, Sult2a1, Sult2a2, Sult2al1, Nos2, Pstpip1, Ugt2b, Uxs1, RT1-A1, RT1-A3, RT1-Db1, RT1-N1, RT1-N3, RT1-O, and RT1-S2) and two microRNA genes (rno-mir-30b and rno-mir-30d), were identified [36]. This evidence concerns the gene PSTPIP1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
