The influence of endogenous Ang II on other cardiovascular reflex afferents [i.e., muscle reflex afferents, cardiac sympathetic afferents, and chemoreflex afferents (Khan and Sinoway, 2000; Li et al., 2006; Wang et al., 2007, 2008; Michelini et al., 2015)] and the interaction of these cardiovascular reflex afferents with baroreceptor afferents at the level of the NTS might also be potential factors to contribute to the arterial baroreflex dysfunction in the CHF state. The gene discussed is AGT; the disease is congestive heart failure.
