Importantly, we confirmed the link between the expression of HMGA1 and KIFC1, LRRC59, and TRIP13 in vivo by evaluating their expression in triple-negative G3 breast cancer specimens, either expressing [n = 10; 2 invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), 3 ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), 4 invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC), and 1 mixed DCIS/IDC] or not expressing HMGA1 proteins [n = 5; 5 invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC)]. This evidence concerns the gene HMGA1 and invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
