Earlier, lack of CD44-expression in EBV-positive or EBV-negative BL cell lines [33], up-regulation of serglycin and CD44 in EBV+ BL cells [36], down-regulation of syndecan-1/CD138 in EBV-infected multiple myeloma cells [15] and fibronectin and collagen in multiple myeloma patients [40] have already been reported [33]. Here, CD44 is linked to Burkitt lymphoma.
