As can be seen in Table 3, VEGF-C and VEGFR-2 were the VEGF family members more frequently expressed in cancer cells (around 90 %), followed by VEGF-A, VEGF-D and VEGFR-3 (around 60 %) and, finally, VEGFR-1 (26.3 %). The gene discussed is FLT1; the disease is cancer.
