NFKB1 and cancer: The tumour-promoting role of the NF-κB pathway is well established and results from its ability to regulate the expression of genes involved in multiple aspects of cancer cell biology.1 This is also true in haematological malignancies2 and in several B-cell lymphoma types, such as activated B-cell-like-diffuse large B-cell lymphomas,3 primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma4, 5 and classical Hodgkin lymphoma6 NF-κB activity is required for survival and proliferation.
