A small-molecule Met inhibitor, PF2362376, inhibited phosphorylation of Met, Erk, and Akt while inhibiting the proliferation of canine osteosarcoma cell lines and induced cell death at biologically achievable concentrations, and further was found to block activities associated with Met signaling, including migration, invasion, branching morphogenesis, and colony formation in soft agar [13].
