NR3C1 and Hyperglycemia: Mifepristone (Korlym®, Corcept Therapeutics, Menlo Park, CA), a glucocorticoid receptor antagonist, was associated with significant improvements in hyperglycemia in the 24-week SEISMIC (Study of the Efficacy and Safety of Mifepristone in the Treatment of Endogenous Cushing’s Syndrome) trial; 15/25 (60 %) had a ≥25 % reduction in area under the curve for glucose and 21/40 (52.5 %) had either a ≥5 mmHg reduction in diastolic blood pressure or reduction in antihypertensive medications [23].
