As such, although it remains unknown whether and to what extent inhibition of this histone modifier by cardamonin is through repressing NF-kB and Stat3 signaling, it is possible that crosstalk between EZH2 (or SETDB1, SMYD3, MLL1) and NF-κB and Stat3 might be an important determinant in drug resistance in breast cancer, warranting further investigation.
