As is demonstrated in Figure 3, sema3A increases the percentage of Breg cells (CD19+CD25high cells) in peripheral blood expressing FoxP3, in normal controls and to a higher extent in SLE patients (in normal controls up to 13.6 ± 1.806% from baseline, p < 0.002, and in SLE patients up to 28.5 ± 3.506%, p < 0.0001) (Figure 3). Here, SEMA3A is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
