MUC2 and colorectal carcinoma: Our precedent study on glycosylation of MUC2 in three human colorectal carcinomas allowed us to demonstrate that the disialylated glycans with Sda/Cad epitope (corresponding to the ion at m/z 1746) were both recovered in normal and cancerous tissues whereas a decrease in the monosialylated glycans with Sda/Cad epitopes was found (19).
