This is the first study to demonstrate that SRPK1 expression is significantly increased in human PCa compared with benign tissue, supporting our previously published report that suggests SRPK1 plays an important role in the pathogenesis of the disease.9 We found that SRPK1 expression was correlated with higher pT disease stage, extracapsular perineural invasion and extracapsular extension. This evidence concerns the gene SRPK1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
