To our knowledge, this study is the first to report that fibroblast growth factor-inducible protein 14 (FN14) expression and GRP94 expression in a patient diagnosed with breast cancer (BC) indicates a high risk of brain metastasis (BrM) progression, offering the opportunity to develop therapeutic strategies either to prevent the disease or facilitate early detection. The gene discussed is HSP90B1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
