CASP1 and silicosis: Individuals with the GA genotype of Ex2+37G>A in caspase-1 had a higher risk of silicosis than individuals with the GG genotype if they had a CDE greater than 120 mg/m3×years (OR [95%CI] = 26.37 [3.35–207.39]), were older than 70 years old (OR [95%CI] = 5.19 [1.88–14.35]), or were smokers (OR [95%CI] = 3.47 [1.40–8.64]).
