When univariate analysis was performed to determine the variables affecting the survival of all the HCC patients, non-B, non-C etiology (p < 0.01, HR 6.26), DCP ≥ 40 mAU/mL (p = 0.02, HR 3.08), AFP-L 3% ≥10% (p = 0.03, HR 2.85), and HCC stage III/IV (p < 0.01, HR 3.94) were found to be significantly associated with poor survival (Table 2). Here, AFP is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
