Notably, when a cutoff value of 1.20 ng/mL was chosen for BST2 (with 81.7% sensitivity and 64.2% specificity), 74 of 93 CRC patients with CEA level lower than 5.0 ng/mL could be further distinguished from healthy controls (Figure 4(c)). This evidence concerns the gene BST2 and colorectal carcinoma.
