Given the significant differences between the biology of MMR-deficient and -proficient colorectal cancers, the prognostic role of MMR-genes mutations in CRC patients has been widely investigated in several clinical series and reviews, suggesting that patients with MSI CRC and Lynch Syndrome could have a better prognosis than patients with sporadic CRC [8, 9, 11]. The gene discussed is MRC1; the disease is colorectal cancer.
