Our results show that the CF respiratory epithelium responds to the presence of P. aeruginosa by producing, depending on the time of infection, an array of proteins that magnify the inflammatory response: thus, our protein analysis revealed that the infection induced overproduction of TNF, CSF2, CSF3, CCL2, MMP1, and MMP10 in CF cells compared to CTRL cells. Here, CSF2 is linked to infection.
