We confirmed the upregulation of Bcl-xL in our docetaxel-resistant PCa cells, in line with a previous study (O'Neill et al. 2011), and show here that GR antagonism leads to a reduction in Bcl-xL expression, providing a potential mechanistic explanation for the restored sensitivity to docetaxel in resistant PCa cells. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2L1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
