Antiangiogenic therapies, mostly targeting the angiogenic key factor vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) or its receptor VEGFR-2, are already successfully applied in many solid tumors such as colorectal carcinoma [26], renal cell carcinoma [40], neuroendocrine tumors [48], or thyroid cancer [5, 10, 59].
