When the data were stratified for multivariate analysis using both forward and backward stepwise Cox regression procedures, DTL immunoreactivity in tumor cells remained significant at P = 0.0104 (hazard ratio, 3.7 (1.36–10.11)) for overall survival (Table 2) and P = 0.0070 (hazard ratio, 3.9 (1.45–10.46)) for disease-free survival (Supplementary Table S1) in all patients, suggesting that DTL immunoreactivity can be an independent predictor of overall survival. This evidence concerns the gene DTL and neoplasm.
