ITGA2B and infarction: Despite their extremelyheterogeneous results, usually suggesting benefits deriving from the use ofsmall-molecule GP IIb/IIIa inhibitors, but not from abxicimab, ameta-analysis30 has shownan only 9% reduction in the relative risk of death or infarction at 30 days offollow-up (p = 0.015), the benefit being restricted to higher-risk patients (hightroponin and/or ST-segment depression and/or undergoing PCI).
