FGF2 and astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma): FGF-2 is involved in induction of angiogenesis in several cancers; phaeochromocytoma, renal cell carcinoma, astrocytoma, bladder carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and prostate cancer [35] and also in the signals between the epithelium and connective tissue, influencing growth and differentiation.
