On the one hand, Chong and colleagues [29] recently determined that a “relative deficiency” of Ang-1 levels and a “relative adequacy” of Ang-2 levels most likely indicate the degree of capillary endothelial injury in sepsis and in patients with sepsis with high mortality arising from a more severe degree of injury to the capillary endothelium, resulting in relative changes of Ang-1 and Ang-2. This evidence concerns the gene ANGPT2 and Sepsis.
