The present study showed a reduced risk to cervical cancer combining CASP8 -652 6 N del with FasR-670 A allele (P = 0.019, CPS = −2.34) and a marginal susceptible risk to cervical cancer with CASP8 -652 6 N ins + FasR-1377G (P = 0.047, CPS = 1.99), only in black Africans. The gene discussed is CASP8; the disease is cervical cancer.
