Eleven cancer related genes were found to have methylation (defined as more than 10 % methylation) in at least some of the tumours: RASSF1A (64 %), TWIST1 (61 %), CDH13 (51 %), APC (50 %), MAL (35 %), GSTP1 (30 %), WIF1 (26 %), RARβ (19 %), BRCA1 (2 %), CDKN2A (2 %) and TP73 (2 %). The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is cancer.
