Based on the reports regarding the expression characteristics of tumor suppressor genes in leukemia, such as wilms tumor 1 (WT1), which was consistently found to be highly expressed in peripheral blood (PB) or bone marrow (BM) in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and is used for inhibiting tumor targeting [27], we hypothesized that PHTF1 is involved in negative regulation of tumor growth. The gene discussed is PHTF1; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
