The respective median levels (range) of serum CRP and LIGHT were significantly higher in the DM-RPIP patients, 1.95 (0.29–12.8) mg/dl and 156 (49.6–335.4) pg/ml, than in the DM-CIP patients, 0.14 (0.04–0.63) mg/dl and 94.3 (16–164.2) pg/ml, (P = 0.0004 and 0.02) (Fig 1b). This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF14 and hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy.
