The SELE gene encodes the selectin-E molecule expressed on endothelial cells known to promote metastasis [46]; the SELE (rs5361) SNP was found to be associated with OS in FL and DLBCL in a recent study [47] and we found an equal effect on the combined DLBCL and FL cohort, however, the effect was not obvious when analyzed at specific diagnostic entity levels. This evidence concerns the gene SELE and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
