The PDL1+ DCs were confined to the bone marrow (Fig 2), as only a small fraction of the myeloma patients had PDL1+ DCs in the blood (2/8 patients had PDL1+ blood CD141+ DCs, 1/8 had PDL1+ CD141- DCs), indicating that the PDL1+ DCs accumulate in the organ affected by malignant cells. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is plasma cell myeloma.
