PTH and primary hyperparathyroidism: Laboratory tests showed a serum calcium level of 11.8 mg/dL (normal range: 8.6–10.1), a phosphorus level of 2.4 mg/dL (normal range: 2.5–4.5), and a plasma intact parathyroid hormone (PTH) level of 427.2 pg/mL (normal range: <65.0), and a diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism was made.
