In the clinical literature the role of DRD4 7R allele has been well established as an etiological factor in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (Hawi et al., 2015), an illness much more common in males than females and these robust findings lend further plausibility to the current observation that the role of the non-4R/4R repeats in Christians with respect to altruistic giving is observed only in males. The gene discussed is DRD4; the disease is attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
