A decreased serum albumin level (<3.5 g/dL) was the most significant factor associated with significant fibrosis (OR = 40.0, 95% CI = 4.5–300, P = 0.001), followed by the absence of hyperuricemia (OR = 5.6, 95% CI = 1.5–21.7, P = 0.01). Here, ALB is linked to hyperuricemia.
