Indeed, we found that B5 decreased Δψm in CaSki and SiHa cells (Fig. 3B) and downregulated the expression of antiapoptotic Bcl-xL while upregulating that of proapoptotic Bid/Bok (Fig. 3A), indicating that the loss of Δψm plays an important role in B5-induced apoptosis in cervical cancer cells. Here, BCL2L1 is linked to cervical cancer.
