The ABCB1 C3435T polymorphism was found to be associated with a risk of myopathy in patients treated with statins more than 5 months in four models (C vs. T: OR, 0.42; 95 % CI, 0.23 to 0.75; P = 0.004; CC vs. TT: OR, 0.20; 95 % CI, 0.06 to 0.70; P = 0.01; CC+CT vs. TT: OR, 0.30; 95 % CI, 0.12 to 0.75; P = 0.01; CC vs. CT+TT: OR, 0.33; 95 % CI, 0.11 to 0.98; P = 0.05). Here, ABCB1 is linked to myopathy.
